A Glimpse into History: The Scabbard
This example features the early-style scabbard, equipped with a leather securing tab designed for the Schmidt-Rubin belt frog. The scabbard’s throat piece bears the distinctive “P” in cursive script, a mark identifying Paillard AG of St. Croix as the mastermind behind this accessory. Evolving with time, this scabbard no longer features the leather securing tab, making it compatible with frogs designed for the M1957 and M1990 bayonets.
