John Nowill, whos corporate name was granted by the Cutlers Company of Hallamshire on 27 April 1700, are one of the oldest and most experienced cutlers in the UK today. This shows in the quality of product that they produce and the John Nowill Stag Bowie is no exception.
It includes a 26cm, carbon steel full tang blade, a solid brass finger guard, Stag horn handle and an extremely well made leather sheath.
This example is simply stunning. This knife appears never to have been carried, used, or sharpened. the blade still has the original factory edge and is in perfect condition overall. This pre owned Sheffield made Bowie style knife, comes from a very particular collector. Clearly a cherished piece, cared for and looked after to a very high level. This knife is indeed a rare piece in this condition.
