Opening Mechanism:
- Initial Step: Press the left side of the frame down with your thumb to swing the blade out to a 90° position.
- Second Step: Pull the left side of the frame back using your index finger at the choil. This allows the blade to rotate fully open and lock into position.
- One-Hand Operation: After some practice, the opening can be performed in one continuous, fluid motion, termed “fulcrumation.”
- Closing: Release the stainless steel locking liner for a fast and easy one-hand closing.

- Frame: High-carbon steel InterFrame with a steel pivot at the back spacer.

Opening & Closing this Interesting Design
To open the Fulcrum, simply press down and forward on the left side of the frame with your thumb. The blade swings out to the 90° position. Then pull back the left side of the frame, gripping with your index finger at the choil, and the blade continues to rotate open and locks in the open position. After a few openings, you can do it naturally in one continuous, fluid action, or “fulcrumation.” To close the Fulcrum, simply release the stainless steel locking liner. You can also close it quickly and easily with one hand.
