The KA-BAR BK9 Combat Bowie is a durable knife designed by Ethan Becker in collaboration with KA-BAR. Made from 1095 carbon steel, it is strong and heavy but not stainless. However, its black coating helps with maintenance. There is some marking on the blade from use and some tarnish on the very edge of the blade. The tarnish would be removed when sharpening and for the most part, the use marks appear to be superficial.

The KA-BAR BK9 Combat Bowie is the result of a successful collaboration between knife designer Ethan Becker and KA-BAR. The knife is designed to be as strong as possible and you can tell that by its weight. This knife can definitely take a beating! The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel, which does not make it stainless. Luckily, the blade has a black coating making maintenance a lot easier.

The sheath that comes with it is made of nylon with a plastic insert and is MOLLE-compatible. The front of the sheath has an extra sheath in which you can put the Kabar BK13. This allows you to keep two knives in one sheath. KA-BAR BK9 Combat Bowie.
