Description
The KA-BAR Becker BK7 Utility knife is the result of the successful cooperation between knife maker Ethan Becker and knife producer KA-BAR. The knife was designed to offer as much stability as possible for its weight. The blade is made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant. Fortunately the blade is enhanced with a black coating to make sure maintenance is a lot easier. 1095 carbon steel is easy to sharpen and forgiving when it comes to demanding use.
The comfortable handle is made from Zytel. A sustainable light-weight and strong type of plastic. Because of its size the BK7 can also be easily be used if you have (very) large hands or when wearing gloves. At the end of the handle a part of the steel tang is sticking out, which you can use as an improvised hammer.
The KA-BAR BECKER BK7 includes a sheath made from nylon with a plastic insert and is MOLLE compatible.
Also Included
The front of the sheath is enhanced with an additional sheath which will also accommodate the small, skeleton-handled knife BK13 Remora. This knife is included in the sale of this Becker BK7.
