The CRKT Hissatsu Fixed Blade
The CRKT Hissatsu fixed blade knife, designed by James Williams, a former Army officer with over 45 years of experience, is a knife inspired by traditional Japanese designs. The blade’s distinctive shape is derived from the style made famous by the legendary Samurai, Takeda Shingen, and is crafted to work with the natural motion of the body. Here are some key features of the Hissatsu:
- Blade:
- Material: 440A stainless steel.
- Finish: High satin.
- Design: Dual grind Tanto blade.
- Handle:
- Material: Twin-Fused, double injection-moulded with a high-impact polypropylene core, butt, and hilt.
- Surface: Non-slip Kraton.
- Design: Traditional Japanese pattern with Oyatsubo, the emperor node on the omote (outside/public side) of the tsuka (handle), which allows for orientation of the blade in low light conditions.
- Sheath:
- Material: Custom injection-moulded Zytel.
- Features: Firm grip on the knife.
- Attachment: Holes and slots for carry on belts, webbing, or equipment (Not included).
These features make the Hissatsu a functional and versatile tool, blending traditional aesthetics with modern materials and design.
