Japanese Kitchen Knives Damascus
SKU: 4049 – MIYABI 4000FC Santoku knife
The MIYABI 4000FC Santoku knife embodies the essence of artisan craftsmanship. Firstly, boasting a century-old tradition, it seamlessly marries beauty with functionality, as characteristic of the esteemed MIYABI brand. The term “Santoku” translates to “Knife with three virtues,” aptly describing its versatile utility in slicing meat, fish, and vegetables with ease.
Crafted with a 180-mm blade length, honed on both sides, it offers exceptional precision in various culinary tasks. Additionally, the blade, made of twofold, ice-hardened FC61 steel through ZWILLING’s advanced FRIODUR process, ensures remarkable hardness and resilience even under rigorous use.
Moreover, the extraordinary sharpness and edge retention of the blade are attributed to the exquisite Katana-edge cut, reminiscent of the craftsmanship seen in Japanese swords. Adding to its elegance is the mosaic pin adorning the impregnated, dimensionally-stable Pakka wood handle. Furthermore, the octagonal form of the handle and bolster not only enhances aesthetics but also provides secure and comfortable handling for effortless use.
Each MIYABI knife is meticulously crafted in Seki, Japan, where German engineering expertise meets East-Asian craftsmanship to create culinary masterpieces. The inclusion of the MIYABI logo engraved on the blade symbolizes its heritage and quality assurance.
